It is committed to empowering oppressed and marginalized people by promoting and facilitating their organizations and institutions to build equal partnerships in the development process, ensuring the fulfilment of their human rights to live in security, dignity, and peace. It also emphasizes critical partnerships with the government and building alliances with other civil society actors, such as people's movements, networks, women's groups, academic research institutions, and the private sector, to enable and strengthen the process of people's empowerment.
